About the Employer
The Washington Union School District, established in 1868, has a long history of academic excellence and high expectations for students. The district's committed staff, its supportive parent community, and its high-achieving students all contribute to the district's success.
The Board of Trustees has demonstrated a commitment to small class size, a rigorous and enriching academic program, and a focus on respect and personal responsibility for all students. The staff at the three schools in the district work together to see that every student is involved in engaging yet challenging instruction. As a result, our students receive a strong foundation in all academic subjects and are well-prepared to assume the challenges of high school.
Washington Union serves approximately 750 students and is located off of Highway 68 between Salinas and Monterey. In partnership with Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE), Washington Union also offers a New Teacher Induction Program with a state approved Curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential.

Art Docent Assistant will assist the Art Docent director with management of the Art Docent program. Duties include, but are not limited to: planning and managing the annual fundraisers; planning and delivering lessons; and coordinating schedules with volunteers.
