Job Title: Art Director

We're looking for an Art Director to help bring the Stoney Clover Lane world to life.

Working closely with our founders and the Senior Director of Marketing, this person will translate ideas into thoughtful, elevated creative that feels unmistakably Stoney Clover Lane. More than executing creative briefs, they'll be a strategic creative partner - bringing exceptional taste, fresh ideas and a long-term vision for the brand.

This person will lead our visual creative across campaigns, photoshoots, gifting, digital marketing and brand experiences while managing our design team and ensuring every customer touchpoint feels cohesive, intentional and elevated.

Responsibilities Creative Partnership
  • Partner closely with the founders and the Senior Director of Marketing to develop creative concepts for campaigns, product launches and brand initiatives.
  • Translate ideas into thoughtful, elevated visual storytelling.
  • Bring fresh creative ideas to the table while thoughtfully building upon the founders' vision.
  • Develop creative direction through mood boards, creative presentations, shot lists and briefs that clearly communicate the vision for each project.
Brand Creative
  • Art direct seasonal campaigns, collaborations and evergreen brand initiatives.
  • Develop creative concepts across campaigns, photoshoots, packaging, gifting and experiential marketing.
  • Ensure every visual expression of the brand feels cohesive across digital, retail and physical experiences.
  • Continuously evolve the visual identity of Stoney Clover Lane while maintaining consistency across all channels.
Photoshoots & Creative Production
  • Lead the creative planning and execution of all photoshoots from concept through final asset delivery.
  • Direct photographers, stylists, videographers and freelance creative partners on set.
  • Partner with the appropriate production lead to organize productions and ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain the highest creative standards across photography, video and campaign assets.
  • Stay agile and strategic on set, identifying additional content opportunities in real time to maximize the value of every shoot.
  • Lead the Graphic Design team.
  • Review and provide creative direction across digital, social, email, retail, packaging and marketing assets.
  • Prioritize creative work while maintaining an exceptional standard of quality across both seasonal launches and always-on brand initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing creative team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with the Marketing team to bring integrated campaigns to life across every customer touchpoint.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to develop creative direction for pop-ups, windows, in-store moments and retail experiences.
  • Partner with Product and Packaging teams on branded collateral and packaging that supports product launches.
  • Work with the Influencer & Community team to develop gifting concepts, influencer mailers and creator experiences.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure a cohesive brand experience from digital campaigns to physical activations.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Art Direction or Creative Direction for a consumer-facing brand.
  • Exceptional portfolio demonstrating campaign work, photography direction and brand storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of photography, styling, typography, color, composition and visual storytelling.
  • Experience leading photoshoots from concept through execution.
  • Experience managing designers and providing thoughtful creative feedback.
  • Excellent creative presentation and communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with founders and incorporating feedback throughout the creative process.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while balancing seasonal priorities with long-term brand initiatives.
