Job description

Milwaukee Magazine, one of the nation's finest city and regional publications, has a photography internship available for FALL 2026. Internships are hands-on and involve a variety of responsibilities as well as the opportunity to be a part of a busy art department.

The internship requires 15 to 20 unpaid hours per week. The internship is located in the Milwaukee area. Internships last for one semester or summer and are for school credit. Interns should be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Candidates must be self-motivated and show initiative as well as take direction and accept constructive criticism. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and problem solve a plus. If you possess these traits you will fit in well and we encourage you to apply.

Primary duties include photography research, photo editing, and shooting various projects that will be published in the online and print issues. Duties also include assisting on various shoots. Reliable transportation, to ensure that you are able to get to site locations.

Qualifications

Although a photography major is preferred, it's not required. A commitment of 15-20 hours a week preferred. Internships are unpaid. It is a requirement to be able to take the internship for college credit. Please submit a resume AND a link to portfolio in order to be considered for this position.
