Job description

Data Analyst - Strategic Global Force Management

Location TARC, Arlington Hall Station, Arlington, VA - on-site, five days a week

Clearance Active DoD SECRET required (TS/SCI accepted). U.S. citizenship required.

Type Full-time ยท Contingent on award of W9133L26RA044

Salary $105,000 โ€“ $130,000, commensurate with Power BI depth, mobilization analysis, and staff-product quality

Travel Limited / NTE. Occasional CONUS in support of SGFM events or studies.

Schedule 0800โ€“1700 local, aligned to the ARNG-FG battle rhythm

The mission

This analyst owns the Strategic Global Force Management book: the orders and briefs that move Large Scale Mobilization Operations, the event analysis behind SGFM forums, the study and RFI work, and the Power BI views leadership uses to see 4,900 units at once. You turn authoritative data into a product a general officer can act on.

What you will do

Strategic planning and mobilization formulation (PWS 5.4.1โ€“5.4.5)

  • Develop and staff LSMO-PG, EXORD, and FRAGORD packages for CRF, MSF, and MOBEX (Government finalizes).
  • Build executive-level decision briefs for HQDA, USAWHC, First Army, AMC, and NORTHCOM forums. Align products to NDS/NMS/JSCP/DPG and the ARNG Minuteman Campaign Plan.

SGFM events, studies, and force-flow data (PWS 5.4.6โ€“5.4.13)

  • Support SGFM events, IDSP/UMP evaluation, CRF Deep Dives, and LSMO seminars with data pulls, trackers, after-action metrics, and Power BI / Power Platform (Envision) views.
  • Process RFIs. Support RAND Arroyo, CAA, and JHU study data calls. Engineer notional TPFDD and mobilization timelines for early-deploying and homeland-response units (LSCO).

Continuity (PWS 5.4.14)

  • Train new FUP Branch government personnel on the unwritten TARC battle rhythm. Document processes so a replacement is productive on day one.
Required qualifications
  • S. citizen with an active DoD SECRET clearance, or immediate eligibility to obtain and maintain SECRET.
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, operations research, computer science, engineering, or a related field - or an associate's degree plus four additional years of qualifying analysis experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years analyzing DoD or Army operational, readiness, force-structure, or mobilization data. Three (3) years acceptable with a demonstrable Power BI portfolio built for a DoD or Army customer.
  • Microsoft Power BI is required - DAX literacy and experience publishing to a workspace or service, not only dragging visuals in Desktop.
  • Ability to turn analysis into order-quality drafts (LSMO-PG / EXORD / FRAGORD) and a one-page senior-leader decision brief.
  • Willing and able to work full-time on-site at TARC, Arlington Hall Station. This position has no recurring telework.
Preferred qualifications
  • Power Platform / Power Automate / Envision. SQL. Python is useful, not required.
  • Exposure to AST, FMSWeb, EMDS, Vantage, or CPLAN.
  • Army National Guard or other Reserve Component mobilization, LSMO, or GFMAP context.
  • Experience supporting general-officer or SES briefs. CompTIA Security+.
Who thrives here

A Power BI analyst who has sat next to operators. You can explain a readiness trend without a 20-tile dashboard. You have written a product that survived a staffing chain.

How to apply

Email a rรฉsumรฉ that names the Army or Joint systems you have used (not only the offices you have advised) to recruiting@heartlandconsulting.com with the subject line "OFMS - Force Management Analyst" or "OFMS - Data Analyst." Confirm the inbox before the site goes live.

  • S. citizenship and clearance status on the first page.
  • A short note on on-site availability at TARC and a start date.
  • For the Data Analyst seat, include a description or sanitized example of a Power BI product you own.

These positions are contingent on Heartland Consulting being awarded contract W9133L26RA044. Heartland Consulting is an equal opportunity employer.
