Shift schedules vary based on operational requirements. Day, evening, weekend, holiday, and rotating assignments may be required.

Summary

Viakorp Corporation is seeking qualified Armed Security Officers to support a federal security services contract at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Fort Point Reservation in Galveston, Texas. Selected candidates will perform armed security duties including access control, vehicle and visitor screening, roving patrols, control center operations, emergency response, and protection of Government personnel and property. Employment is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements
  • Valid Texas Level III Armed Security Officer License.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security, military, law enforcement, or commercial security.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to pass all required background investigations and pre-employment screening.
  • Current firearms qualification and ability to maintain required certifications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.
Duties
  • Control access to Government facilities by verifying identification and authorizing entry.
  • Conduct vehicle, visitor, and personnel screening in accordance with established security procedures.
  • Perform interior and exterior roving patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and restricted areas.
  • Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and security communications from the Control Center.
  • Respond to emergencies, security incidents, alarms, and suspicious activities.
  • Maintain accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and security logs.
  • Protect Government personnel, facilities, equipment, and property from theft, damage, trespassing, or unauthorized access.
  • Follow all post orders, security procedures, and company policies while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
