Job description

We are a cleantech contractor that provides comprehensive energy efficiency services for energy service companies (ESCOs) and corporate clients. Our services are provided by six specialized units focused on weatherization, water efficiency engineering, lighting, airflow controls, HVAC, and infrastructure solutions.


ECM Holding Company has an opportunity for a HVAC Applicator in Pompano Beach,  FL. This position requires mostly works out of the Florida warehouse but will have  occasional travel 

Our field installers travel the county providing energy conservation services to HVAC equipment.

  • Coating HVAC unit coils with HVAC Armor product
  •  Cleaning existing  units to be coated
  • Restoring and refinishing cooling towers

Duties & Responsibilities:

Installation & Project Execution

  • Lead Job Preparation: Thoroughly prepare for each job by understanding the scope of work and ensuring all necessary equipment, safety gear, tools, and supplies are ready.
  • On-site Setup: Systematically set up the job site by unloading equipment and placing items in their installation locations. You'll survey the site to protect the building, surroundings, and wiring before beginning work.
  • Apply Coatings: Carefully clean and prepare existing HVAC units, then apply specialized HVAC Armor coatings to coils. You will also restore and refinish cooling towers.
  • Master Techniques: Develop and refine your spray techniques to ensure thorough, timely application while minimizing waste and overspray. You'll learn from experienced team leaders to master proper equipment operation.

Safety & Quality Control

  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, which includes keeping unauthorized people at a safe distance (minimum of 50 feet) from the work area. You may be required to wear a supplied air or cartridge filter respirator throughout the application process.
  • Uphold Quality Standards: Review your work to guarantee it meets or exceeds our high-quality standards, ensuring no callbacks are needed.

Cleanup & Professionalism

  • Job Site Cleanup: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness by completing all necessary cleanup and touch-up work before leaving any job site.
  • Tool & Equipment Management: Conduct a final survey of the site to ensure all company tools and equipment are collected, cleaned, and returned to the vehicle, ready for the next job.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of construction business and / or 1-year prior related experience helpful but not required.
  • Current Drivers License
  • Ability to use good judgement and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely at
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to always demonstrate a respectful and professional demeanor.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to read, speak and write.
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time  throughout Florida and Georgia


• Constant (67-100%) standing and walking.
• Frequent (34-66%), repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs over shoulder height.

Physical Fitness: Must be able to pass a pulmonary and respirator physical to wear required respirators.


While performing the essential functions of this position, the Installer will be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including exposure to extreme cold, heat and humidity.  Exposure to dusty, noisy jobsite conditions, fumes, insulation materials and some chemicals.
