What are ARM Cortex processors?

ARM Cortex processors are a family of central processing units (CPUs) based on the ARM architecture, widely used in embedded systems, smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices. They are known for their high performance and energy efficiency, making them ideal for both low-power applications and demanding computational tasks. The ARM Cortex lineup includes a variety of cores designed for different use cases, such as Cortex-A for applications, Cortex-R for real-time processing, and Cortex-M for microcontrollers. These processors are licensed by ARM Holdings to various manufacturers, who then integrate them into their own products.
