What are some unique challenges faced by nurses working in Arizona's rural healthcare settings?

Nurses in Arizona's rural areas often encounter challenges such as limited resources, higher patient-to-nurse ratios, and a broader scope of responsibilities due to staff shortages. They may need to provide a wide range of care, from emergency interventions to routine check-ups, often with less immediate access to specialists or advanced medical equipment. These environments require adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining high standards of patient care. Collaboration with a small, close-knit team is common, and nurses may also engage in community outreach to improve healthcare outcomes.
