Facility:
This facility is part of a regional healthcare network dedicated to serving the Appalachian community with comprehensive medical services. As a Level 3 trauma center, the facility provides essential orthopedic care to the region and offers physicians the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with strong community support.
Opportunity:
Physician - Orthopaedic Surgery
Job Details:
• Handle approximately 25 patient encounters per shift providing comprehensive orthopedic services
• Perform arthroscopic procedures across various joints
• Conduct total joint replacements including hip, knee, and other joints
• Manage joint revision and repair procedures for shoulder, hip, knee, and other joints
• Perform tendon release and repair procedures
• Locums-to-permanent position opportunity starting June 1, 2026
• Must maintain active Kentucky medical license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Board certification preferred but not required
• 45-day credentialing timeframe
• Fellowship training preferred (3 years)
• Access to Lexington, KY and Knoxville, TN airports for travel convenience
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
