  1. Accept and implement the co-curricular philosophy of Argos Jr-Sr High School.
  2. Follow the rules & regulations of the school, conference, and Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA).
  3. Attend rules interpretation meeting held by the IHSAA (varsity).
  4. Participate in appropriate coach associations to represent our school and students (varsity).
  5. Attend training to improve coaching skills and stay current with new trends.
  6. Attend coaching staff meetings.
  7. Give input to the Athletic Director (AD) regarding game and practice schedules.
  8. Schedule, plan (in writing) and carry out training sessions.
  9. Confirm transportation arrangements.
  10. Supervise sport equipment, including maintaining a current uniform roster, and providing such to the AD. Supervision collection of uniforms post-season.
  11. Inspect facilities and provide assistance and input to the AD, including off-season and pre- and post-game activities.
  12. Report scores to appropriate media and websites (varsity).
  13. Maintain appropriate team and individual statistics and submit such to the AD upon completion of the season.
  14. Participate in post-season evaluation meeting with the AD (varsity).
  15. Delegate responsibility to assistant coaches as appropriate.
  16. Work to develop continuity between the community and school programs.
  17. Provide leadership and oversight to all levels of the program (varsity).
  18. Always support other program coaches to parents, media and teams. Any criticism should be constructive and among the staff.
  19. Certify that all students have the appropriate paperwork submitted prior to participation in practices and games.
  20. Maintain appropriate supervision at all times (locker rooms, practices, events, bus rides, etc.)
  21. Complete and submit to the AD any required injury reports.
  22. Assure that the team at all times will reflect proper attitude and conduct.
  23. Encourage students to participate in other sports and activities. Do not encourage specialization.
  24. Establish and use a system of communication to athletes and parents that will include explanation of polices, awards, procedures, expectations, goals and schedules.
  25. Supervise and conduct end-of-season awards programs in accordance with the student handbook.
  26. Represent the school in a professional manner in demeanor, language, and conduct, as directed by the AD.
  27. All other duties as assigned by the AD.
