OVERVIEW: We are seeking skilled DevSecOps Engineers to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines supporting mission-critical applications. These roles focus on automating infrastructure, embedding security into the software development lifecycle, and managing cloud-native services and containerized environments. There are two DevSecOps Engineer openings, each with a different technical focus. One position is primarily focused on AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation, while the other is focused on Kubernetes/EKS, container orchestration, and GitOps technologies such as ArgoCD and Helm. GENERAL DUTIES: * Design, implement, and maintain secure DevSecOps pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins/CloudBees, and ArgoCD. * Deploy and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible. * Administer and optimize AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, ALBs, MSK, S3, Lambda, OpenSearch, and Amazon MQ. * Manage AWS networking and security configurations across VPCs, IAM, and security groups. * Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS. * Deploy and manage Kubernetes applications using Helm and ArgoCD. * Automate system administration and deployment tasks using Python and Bash/Linux scripting. * Manage monitoring, logging, and secrets management using tools such as CloudWatch and HashiCorp Vault. * Perform Linux administration, security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and troubleshooting. * Collaborate with development teams to integrate security, automation, and GitOps practices into the software delivery lifecycle. * Support deployments, production operations, and system reliability improvements. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Willingness to travel to Crystal City, VA 2-4 times per month. * 5+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles. * Bachelor's degree required; may be substituted with 4 additional years of relevant experience. * Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including: * EC2, EBS * ECS * RDS (Oracle and PostgreSQL administration) * Application Load Balancers * CloudWatch * MSK * S3 * VPC networking * Lambda * OpenSearch * Amazon MQ (ActiveMQ) * IAM * Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible). * Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL preferred). * Experience writing automation scripts using Python and Bash/Linux shell. * Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins/CloudBees. * Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments. * Experience implementing secure secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault. * Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across cloud infrastructure and application environments. ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: * General DevSecOps Engineer: Strong professional experience with AWS, Jenkins/CloudBees, Terraform, and Git/GitHub is required. Experience with Docker and Python/Bash scripting is also required. * CO4 DevSecOps Engineer: Strong professional experience with EKS and/or Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Helm is required. AWS administration experience is highly preferred, with Rancher, Jenkins/CloudBees, Terraform, Git, and GitHub also preferred. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and security automation. * Experience supporting federal government environments. * Familiarity with container orchestration and microservices architectures. * Experience with observability, monitoring, and log aggregation platforms. * AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator. * Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or similar.
