To thrive as an Arena Manager, you need expertise in facility operations, event management, and budgeting, often supported by a degree in facility management, business administration, or a related field. Familiarity with venue management software, scheduling systems, and safety compliance certifications is typically required. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills help you effectively manage staff, coordinate events, and address client needs. These skills are critical to ensuring smooth operations, high-quality events, and a safe, customer-focused environment.

What are some common challenges faced by Arena Managers in maintaining event readiness and facility safety?

Arena Managers are often tasked with the complex responsibility of ensuring that the venue is always event-ready while maintaining strict safety standards. They must coordinate with multiple departments—such as operations, security, maintenance, and event staff—to address last-minute changes, unexpected repairs, or compliance issues. Balancing event schedules, managing large teams, and responding quickly to emergencies are frequent challenges. Successful Arena Managers excel at proactive planning, clear communication, and quick problem-solving to keep operations running smoothly.

What is the difference between Arena vs Ticketing Agent?

AspectArenaTicketing Agent
CredentialsEvent management experience, sometimes certifications in event planningCustomer service skills, sales experience, sometimes certification in ticketing systems
Work EnvironmentEvent venues, stadiums, arenas during eventsTicketing offices, box offices, customer service counters

Job description

About Arena Club

If you're fascinated by sports cards and memorabilia, your search ends here. Arena Club is pioneering the collectibles domain by introducing the first-ever digital card show. Spearheaded by 5x World Series Champion Derek Jeter and serial entrepreneur Brian Lee, Arena Club has developed a fully digital marketplace. This innovative platform is built on trust, transparency, and fun, featuring grading & authentication, vaulting, and digital pack openings for collectors to build and showcase their collections in a personalized online showroom from anywhere in the world.

 About the Role

We're building Arena Club into a content destination, not just a social presence. As Creative Content Lead, you'll own our video content strategy and production from concept to publish, creating the kind of original, platform-native content that turns collectors into a community and Arena Club into a household name in the hobby. This role sits at the center of where sports culture, collecting, and storytelling intersect.

You'll be hands-on behind the camera and in the edit, working out of our in-house Santa Monica studio to produce short-form and long-form video across Instagram Reels, YouTube, and beyond, to build a multi-platform content brand with real cultural weight.

 What You'll Do
  • Lead Arena Club's video content strategy across short-form (Instagram Reels, TikTok) and long-form (YouTube, video podcast) formats
  • Own end-to-end production: concept development, on-camera direction, filming, and editing without relying on external agencies
  • Build on existing content pilots (including our "After Hours" video podcast) and develop recurring formats that grow audience and deepen community
  • Develop a content calendar that connects to product launches, market moments, and cultural events in the hobby
  • Attend card shows, trade events, and activations to capture content in the field
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team and cross-functional partners to ensure content is integrated with broader campaign strategy
  • Track performance across platforms and use data to continuously refine content formats and cadence
  • Contribute to the long-term vision of Arena Club as a multi-platform content brand, with original programming as a north star
 Who You Are

You're a video creator and producer who's genuinely fluent in the hobby, or becomes obsessed with it fast. You know how to shoot, edit, and publish content that performs natively on platform, and you have the instincts to know when to be polished and when to be raw. You've been close to a content program launch and understand what it takes to build something from early-stage to scaled. You don't outsource your craft. You own it.

 Qualifications
  • 4-5 years of experience in video content creation, production, or a related field, ideally at a consumer brand, media company, or sports/entertainment property
  • Hands-on proficiency in camera operation and video editing (Premiere, Final Cut, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of short-form and long-form video strategy across Instagram and YouTube
  • Experience producing content in-studio and in the field
  • Brand-side experience preferred; agency or consulting background less relevant here
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a content calendar and production pipeline independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Genuine passion for sports cards, collectibles, or the broader hobby community
  • Experience developing or launching a recurring video format or show
  • Familiarity with video podcast production
  • Exposure to YouTube growth strategy and long-form audience building
  • Comfort on camera as a host or interview conductor, in addition to behind-the-lens skills

Location & Travel

  • On-site in our LA office, 5 days a week; in-studio production is a core part of the role
  • Travel expected for card shows, events, and field content

What We Provide

  • Fully equipped in-house studio (soundproofed production space + podcast-ready setup)
  • All production gear provided. You bring your skills, we cover the equipment
  • Dedicated monthly production budget
 The Arena Club Standard

Life at Arena Club isn't for the faint of heart - and that's by design. We're building products and experiences the collectibles world has never seen. This is a proving ground. It demands your best every single day, because anything less means you're falling behind.

From day one, you're in the game. Trusted to deliver, expected to own outcomes, and driven to raise the bar higher than you thought possible. We don't just execute, we innovate, compete, and win together.

If you want routine or predictability, you won't find it here. But if you're ambitious, relentless, and hungry to prove yourself on a team built to dominate, step into the arena. You'll discover growth and reward here, unlike anywhere else.
