Job description

We are hiring a Health Area Technician for a full-time, seasonal opportunity in Nags Head. This position works 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays required. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, public areas, furnishings, and assigned work areas. Responsibilities also include removing and disposing of soiled waste and linen, performing floor and carpet care, and completing detailed cleaning while following established hospital policies and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, public areas, and assigned work areas.
  • Remove and dispose of soiled waste and linen.
  • Perform floor care and carpet cleaning.
  • Complete detailed cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Follow hospital cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to work the 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM shift.
  • Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a healthcare environment.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
