Job description

The Sales Quote Specialist provides sales support by handling and processing quoting activity within an assigned area or Region (s). Additional assigned duties may include include management of assigned (smaller volume) dealer accounts. Identifies reasonable and competitive pricing on our products. Provide sales support to the field as required.

Position Responsibilities may include;

  • Handle, organize and process residential and/or commercial quotes
  • Establish quote a tracking system and follow up on outstanding quotes within a specified time frame
  • Track competitors’ pricing and other market information – provide reports to management
  • Provide job information sheets, data and literature as requested
  • Support outside sales and branch organization with sales quoting activity 
  • Work with Branch Manager, Outside Territory Sales Manager
  • Work with Region Manager and Area Sales Manager on pricing for field quotes
  • Develop proposals for presentation to prospective customers
  • Maintain customer relationships through proactive communication.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the Divisional Staff
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed
  • Obtain and provide local market intelligence and feedback to the Region and Area Sales Manager
  • Perform addition duties as needed

Nature and Scope:

  • Takes direction from Manager
  • Works within well-defined instructions

Knowledge and Skills:

  • HVAC product/equipment knowledge preferred
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Analytical skills to accurately quote products and develop reporting / tracking system
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public

Experience:

  • 3 years customer service/sales experience
  • 2+ years experience with quoting/estimating products
  • 3+ years HVAC experience preferred

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred

People Management: No

Physical Requirements / Working Environment:

  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Some travel may be required – up to 20%. Work schedule may extend outside of standard business hours and days
