Job description

About the Role
As a Studio Manager, you are the in-studio leader responsible for creating an exceptional experience for both clients and team members every day. You are the operational heartbeat of your home studio, ensuring that every detail -- from cleanliness and hospitality to sales execution and studio standards -- is consistently delivered at a high level.
This is a unique opportunity to help launch our brand-new Mt. Juliet studio and be part of building its culture, community, and success from day one. You'll play an instrumental role in establishing strong operational habits, developing relationships with founding members, and creating the welcoming, high-energy experience that defines BODYROK.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and takes pride in creating an organized, welcoming, and high-performing studio. We're looking for someone who naturally takes initiative, solves problems before they become problems, and treats the studio as if it were their own.
While this role does not include direct people management, you will serve as a mentor, coach, and day-to-day resource for Studio Advisors by leading through example and reinforcing BODYROK's standards and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations

  • Oversee daily studio operations to ensure an exceptional client experience and consistent execution of BODYROK standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment at all times.
  • Manage studio inventory, place supply orders, and ensure retail displays remain organized and fully stocked.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships including cleaning, maintenance, HVAC, and equipment servicing.
  • Maintain studio email, voicemail, client accounts, scheduling accuracy, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Keep operational records up to date and provide regular reporting to the Area Operations Manager regarding studio performance, inventory, maintenance needs, and ongoing initiatives.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges and implement solutions before they impact the client experience.
Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive membership growth through consistent sales outreach, relationship building, and personalized follow-up.
  • Support studio sales initiatives including memberships, introductory offers, retail, referrals, and promotional campaigns.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating exceptional sales conversations and client service while working Studio Advisor shifts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve membership conversion, client retention, referrals, and overall studio performance.
  • Support execution of studio events, local partnerships, apartment outreach, and community initiatives alongside the Area Operations Manager and Marketing team.
Studio Advisor Support & Development

  • Work a minimum of four Studio Advisor shifts each week while serving as the primary in-studio resource for operational questions and day-to-day support.
  • Support onboarding and in-studio training for new Studio Advisors.
  • Reinforce operational procedures, sales expectations, hospitality standards, and best practices through real-time coaching and feedback.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable studio culture where Studio Advisors feel supported and empowered to succeed.
  • Partner with the Area Operations Manager on ongoing staff development and studio initiatives.
Client Experience

  • Deliver an exceptional hospitality experience by ensuring every client feels welcomed, recognized, and supported.
  • Resolve client concerns with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Look for opportunities to create memorable experiences that strengthen client relationships and encourage long-term membership.
  • Ensure every aspect of the studio reflects BODYROK's premium brand experience.
Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Area Operations Manager to align on studio priorities, goals, and business initiatives.
  • Help execute regional projects, operational improvements, and new initiatives while ensuring deadlines remain on track.
  • Attend monthly leadership meetings with fellow Studio Managers and Area Operations Managers to share ideas, best practices, and studio updates.
  • Act as an ambassador for BODYROK's values and culture both inside and outside the studio.
What Success Looks Like
  • Your studio is consistently clean, organized, and operating at a high level.
  • Clients feel welcomed, valued, and excited to return.
  • Studio Advisors feel supported, confident, and aligned with BODYROK standards.
  • Membership sales, referrals, and client retention continue to grow.
  • You proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership of making them happen.
  • You consistently look for ways to strengthen both the client experience and overall studio performance.
Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, or operations leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to support sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable making decisions, solving problems independently, and managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for health, fitness, hospitality, and creating exceptional experiences.
  • Experience with MindBody or similar scheduling software preferred.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week in-studio.
  • Ability to move throughout the studio and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $24/hour to start
  • Competitive commission on sales
  • Complimentary BODYROK classes
  • Opportunities to collaborate with local businesses and community partners
  • Ongoing leadership development and mentorship
  • Collaborative, energetic, and supportive team culture
  • Clear pathway for advancement into Area Operations Manager and other leadership opportunities
