Position Summary
The Market Research Analyst supports Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) market research, sales forecasting, and analytical initiatives for new and existing stores across West Retail. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to execute research projects, maintain forecasting models, and deliver actionable insights within Real Estate Market Research & Strategy, ensuring the highest standards of model and report integrity. The work of the Market Research Analyst will support real estate investment decisions, market growth, and operational excellence as part of Bridgestone West Retail's success and innovation.
Responsibilities
  • Support site selection and market optimization strategies through quantitative analysis and market research.
  • Support market intelligence initiatives and advanced sales forecasting models for new and existing retail locations.
  • Analyze consumer behavior, demographic trends, traffic patterns, and competitive dynamics to evaluate market opportunity and forecast sales performance.
  • Conduct market feasibility and site analyses to support real estate investment decisions and validate site attractiveness.
  • Utilize mapping, spatial analytics, and geographic data tools to assess trade areas and market potential.
  • Partner with the BSRO Real Estate Development team to evaluate prospective sites, including travel to markets and site locations across the United States.
  • Maintain and improve the accuracy, scalability, and integrity of data used in forecasting and analytical models.
  • Develop and maintain data quality controls to ensure data is accurate, complete, consistent, reliable, and up to date.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Assist in preparing data-driven presentations and recommendations for capital meetings and senior leadership.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor market opportunity frameworks to prioritize growth initiatives in partnership with the New Store Development team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, legal, IT, marketing, and accounting to support real estate decision-making and store development initiatives.
  • Develop tools, reporting, and analytical processes that improve decision-making, efficiency, and program execution.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by real estate leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Market Research, Statistics or related fields, is desired.
  • 5+ years working in a corporate setting with experience in retail and / or real estate.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with SQL, database querying, and large-scale data environments is preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
  • Experience utilizing GIS, spatial analytics, trade area analysis, or location intelligence platforms (e.g., Esri, Alteryx, Placer.ai, Buxton, Kalibrate, or similar tools) is a plus.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and specifications into reports, insights, and dashboards with minimal direction or oversight.
  • Domestic travel as needed to visit markets, prospective sites, and / or existing stores (~10-20%)
