Manager GPO Operations
Position Highlights
The GPO Operations Manager supports the daily operation of the OnHand GPO program by ensuring successful affiliate member onboarding, contract connection, relationship management, and program support.
OnHand is a group purchasing organization (GPO) collaboration between Texas Health Resources (THR) and Premier, Inc., serving over 5,000 affiliated healthcare facilities nationwide, including 270 acute care hospitals, and representing approximately $6B in annual spend.
  • Work location: Work location: Hybrid-remote and onsite in Farmers Branch.
  • Work hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 08:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Contract Connection
. Lead enrollment and onboarding of new affiliate members into the GPO program
. Manage end-to-end contract connection process
. Deliver training for the OnHand Program offering, processes, and tools
. Resolve implementation and pricing issues by working with affiliate members and suppliers
Relationship Management & Support
. Serve as operational contact for affiliate members and supplier partners
. Manage member communication, operational support, and issue resolution
. Partner with Sales, Sourcing, and Account Management to support recruitment, implementation, and contract portfolio optimization
Contract Launch Management
. Own the contract launch process from sourcing handoff through activation
. Coordinate with Sourcing, Premier, Suppliers, Distributors, and Internal Stakeholders to ensure successful contract launch
Contract Portfolio Operations & Maintenance
. Maintain working knowledge of Premier, OnHand, THR, and competitor GPO contracts and future pipeline
. Maintain GPO contract templates, standards, and documentation
. Manage implementation of GPO contract updates, amendments, and related changes
. Support identification of GPO contract portfolio opportunities
Program Administration
. Maintain tools, trackers, and workflows supporting GPO operations
. Manage membership communication and events (newsletters, education sessions, marketing)
. Support program value delivery activities and monitoring
. Participate in process improvement initiatives
Education
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience
3 years experience required in one or more of the following areas: Healthcare supply chain, strategic sourcing, contracting, contract management, GPO operations, Medical-Surgical Distribution, Project Management, Department Operations, or related field.
1 year experience working with a national/regional GPO preferred
Skills
Intermediate Excel proficiency
. Knowledge of healthcare categories, products, and services
. Understanding of healthcare contracting and pricing structures
. Strong project management and communication skills
. Highly organized, self-directed, and solutions-oriented
