Essential Duties
Join the West Texas Collection team and gain hands-on experience working with historical documents, books, photographs, and other archival materials. This position assists with retrieving, handling, and organizing collection materials, supports basic archival processing, and helps with preservation and digitization projects using specialized equipment. The student employee will also provide professional and helpful assistance to patrons using archival and reading room materials. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student.
  • Must be available to work Saturdays.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately.
  • Ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read cursive writing.
  • Customer service experience.

Physical Demands
The position requires standing, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, and other physical movement necessary to perform assigned duties. Must be able to lift materials weighing up to 30 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 300 pounds.
Salary
$9.12 per hour
