Role overview:We are seeking an eager and passionate Architectural Technologist. You could be an Architectural Technologist or Architect, with a love of digitally modeling and drawing, who wants to own their work and be an integral part of a small, dedicated studio. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of four in-office days per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Drawing production: produce highly proficient, production-ready drawings that support the team in meeting deadlines, ensure consistency, and uphold high quality standards across multiple projects.
- BIM leadership: lead the improvement of Revit templates and processes, vet/create families, establish best practices, and evaluate related software for integration into office workflows.
Qualifications and experience:
- Advanced Revit experience gained in a professional, collaborative environment (including scheduling, worksharing, family editing, phases, design options, rendering, and walkthroughs)
- Demonstrated excellence in construction drawing preparation and coordination, with a keen eye for clarity and beauty.
- University degree or college diploma from an accredited program (local preference)
.- Minimum 5 years of experience in an architectural office that focuses on OBC required buildings; experience with high-end buildings is preferred.
- Strong interest in all aspects of sustainable design (Passive House, Net Zero, Carbon Neutral, LEED).
- Solid understanding of building science, building systems, and construction detailing.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) or relevant local code equivalents.
- Experience with high-performance building techniques, practices, and products.
- Superior written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate efforts across multiple projects.- Positive, proactive mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects, demonstrating accountability and integrity.
