The Role

Stratus is seeking an Architectural Designer II to join our Education team. In this role, you will contribute to both the design and technical development of architectural projects, advancing from foundational skills into detailed design and project documentation while supporting project leaders. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and play an active role in developing design concepts, producing detailed drawings, and supporting the project development process.


Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of design concepts by creating digital models, visual renderings, and schematic drawings that communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Create architectural drawings and construction documents using CAD and BIM software, ensuring compliance with project specifications and company standards.
  • Research building codes, zoning regulations, and materials to ensure that designs meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical) to integrate systems and components into architectural designs.
  • Support senior architects in coordinating design revisions based on client feedback, regulatory requirements, and project constraints.
  • Participate in client and team meetings, presenting design concepts and updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits during the design or construction phase to assist in assessing existing conditions and ensure that project execution aligns with design intent.
  • Assist in managing project documentation, including maintaining design files, project schedules, and communication logs, to ensure smooth project workflows.


Qualifications


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
  • 3-5years of experience in architectural design.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion or other rendering tools.


Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • Experience with sustainable design practices and tools (e.g., LEED, WELL).
