Job description

We're looking for a Landscape Architect to join our Landscape Architecture and Land Development team at our Overland Park location (in office). This individual will assist with the design of a variety of projects that may include mixed-use, residential and commercial developments, K-12 schools, churches, hospitals, parks, athletic facilities, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare site analysis, sketch concepts, assemble imagery boards, develop site plan concepts, 3D models, renderings, etc. for a wide range of projects.
  • Assist with the production of design packages including construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates particularly related to amenities, design grading, hardscape and landscape elements.
  • Conduct research and analysis of site conditions to inform project recommendations, preparing detailed reports and assessments.
  • Inspect construction work to ensure it adheres to design plans and specifications.
  • Actively collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and other disciplines to bring projects from concept to completion.
  • Prepare visual presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • 0-5+ years of experience in landscape architecture or related fields.
  • PLA license in Kansas or Missouri is preferred (or on track to receive license).
  • Demonstrated creative design ability, with strong sketching skills.
  • Proficient in grading design and sustainable design practices.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, and Sketch-Up.
  • Experience with advanced rendering platforms is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately.
