Location: Grapevine, Texas



Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative Job Captain to join an architectural team. This role is responsible for managing multiple residential projects from design through construction documentation while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can effectively coordinate internal teams, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple architectural projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, including Design, Engineering, and Architectural Operations.
  • Manage outside consultants and project partners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist the Design team in developing and evaluating new home designs, styles, options, and architectural details.
  • Support Architectural Operations with technology initiatives, including discovery and design phases for new tools and processes.
  • Lead project team collaboration by sharing best practices, resolving issues, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Review and interpret construction codes, ensuring drawings comply with applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and coordinate construction documents, lot-specific plans, revisions, and project updates.
  • Gather, interpret, and manage project data to support informed decision-making.
  • Adhere to established workflows, development standards, and project procedures.
  • Exercise sound independent judgment while collaborating with project stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture preferred.
  • Residential architecture experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple architectural projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, building codes, and architectural drafting standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, consultants, and remote stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with architectural software; experience with SketchUp and BIM 360 is a plus.


Additional Details:

  • Must be in the office 5 days a week. After 2 -3 months will consider allowing 3 in office and 2 work from home.
