Experienced Mine Manager | Au, Cu & Co Operations - ZAMBIA

We are seeking an experienced Mine Manager/Contractor to lead and oversee mining operations involving Gold (Au), Copper (Cu), and Cobalt (Co). This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished mining professional with a proven track record of delivering safe, efficient, and commercially successful mining operations.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will provide overall leadership and operational direction across the mining operation, ensuring that production activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational plans, budgets, environmental requirements, and applicable mining legislation.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide strategic and operational leadership across all mining activities.

· Manage day-to-day mine operations, production, planning, and performance.

· Lead and develop mining, technical services, maintenance, and support teams.

· Establish and maintain a strong safety-first culture across the operation.

· Deliver production and development targets while maintaining effective cost control.

· Oversee mine planning, scheduling, fleet utilization, and operational performance.

· Work collaboratively with geology, metallurgy, processing, engineering, maintenance, and technical services teams.

· Ensure compliance with mining legislation, safety standards, permits, environmental requirements, and company policies.

· Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, ore recovery, operating costs, and overall mine performance.

· Manage contractors, suppliers, consultants, and key operational stakeholders.

· Develop and manage operating budgets, forecasts, production plans, and key performance indicators.

· Monitor operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

· Provide senior management with accurate reporting on production, costs, safety, risks, and operational opportunities.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

· Significant experience in Mine Manager or senior mine management positions.

· Strong operational experience in gold, copper, and/or cobalt mining.

· Demonstrated knowledge of Au, Cu, and Co mining operations, production systems, and mine planning.

· Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and mining contractors.

· A proven record of achieving production targets while maintaining high safety standards.

· Strong commercial, financial, budgeting, and cost-management capabilities.

· Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

· Strong understanding of mine safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

· Experience working with modern mine planning, scheduling, and operational management systems.

· Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.

· Appropriate statutory Mine Manager qualifications/certifications for the applicable jurisdiction.
