Job description

Who We Are

At R&R Realty Group, we believe great spaces are built by great people. For more than 40 years, we've helped shape communities across Iowa and Nebraska through commercial, multifamily, retail, and industrial real estate. But what truly sets us apart isn't our properties, it's the culture we've built.

We're a team that values collaboration, integrity, continuous improvement, and making a positive impact. Whether it's supporting one another, investing in professional development, giving back to our communities, or celebrating successes together, we believe people do their best work when they feel connected and supported.

If you're looking for a place where you can grow your career, contribute meaningful work, and be part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together, we'd love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

As our Architectural Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping R&R’s built environment from early visioning through construction. You’ll lead design efforts, collaborate across teams, and ensure projects meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and creativity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead architectural design efforts across capital projects and tenant improvements—from early visioning through construction documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to translate business goals into functional, well-designed spaces
  • Provide design direction and mentorship to our in-house interior design team (Spark Design)
  • Partner with development, pre-construction, and brokerage teams to prioritize and execute projects
  • Oversee and coordinate external architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure quality and consistency
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to maintain high design and construction standards
  • Serve as a resource on building codes, design best practices, and quality control
  • Participate in design charrettes and contribute to build-to-suit and development opportunities
  • Stay current on workplace and commercial design trends and bring forward new ideas and concepts
  • Visit project sites and R&R properties as needed to support project success
What Makes This Role Unique
  • End-to-end project involvement – See your designs come to life from concept through completion
  • Portfolio-wide impact – Influence a wide range of commercial properties and development projects
  • Collaborative environment – Work cross-functionally with a highly engaged internal team
  • Opportunity to lead – Guide and grow an in-house design function

What It Takes to Join Our Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Licensed Architect (or ability to obtain licensure with company support)
  • Experience leading or contributing to commercial architectural projects
Why R&R Realty?

At R&R, a career is more than a job, it's an opportunity to build something meaningful alongside people who care about one another and the communities we serve.

We are committed to creating an environment where employees can thrive personally and professionally. In addition to competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, you'll enjoy:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous paid time off and paid holidays
  • Rent discount
  • Gym membership reimbursement
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Employee engagement, wellness, and volunteer committees
  • A culture that encourages collaboration, recognition, and giving back
Interested?

If you're excited about joining a company that values people, relationships, and continuous growth, we'd love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and tell us what makes you a great fit for the R&R team.

All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen (excluding marijuana) within three business days.

R&R Realty Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
