Assistant Project Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction project management as a subcontractor, with proficiency in tools like ProEst, AutoCAD, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, and procore. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the construction industry.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience construction project management.
  • Concrete industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles
  • Experience with tools such as Procore, and Bluebeam, Smartsheet's, or ProEst.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Responsibilities:

  • Represent Araco Group in a professional manner to clients, vendors, engineers, etc.
  • Assist Division Manager in completing and running large projects across Colorado. Help solve daily schedule issues or concerns as they arise.
  • Individually manage small to medium-sized commercial construction projects.
  • Assist Division Manager in completing newly awarded project contracts and preconstruction coordination.
  • Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, on or under budget, and to specifications according to the Contract Documents, with the highest quality possible.
  • Coordinate Construction schedules with contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Review and interpret Contract documents to include schematics, blueprints, geotechnical reports, etc.
  • Help coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables, including submittals, billing, invoice management and processing, RFI development, submission and tracking, Change order development, submission and tracking, permits, drawings, etc.
  • Coordinate daily work with Araco Superintendants to ensure work is completed safely, on time and according to the Contract Documents.
  • Monitor construction sites to ensure work is progressing according to plans.
  • Utilize project management software like Foundation, Executive HQ, or Project HQ for tracking project milestones.
