About the Position
This position will play a key role in designing and managing K-12 educational projects across the state if Michigan. As part of our dedicated team, the ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and client relationship skills, contributing both to our current projects and to future business development efforts.
Role and Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:
  • Lead and participate in all phases of K-12 and higher education project design and execution, from concept through construction.
  • Interpret and apply Michigan State Education Department (SED) requirements for public school projects.
  • Ensure compliance with SED procedures, keeping current with all relevant updates and protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, developing trusted relationships and ensuring alignment with project vision and goals.
  • Engage in business development activities, identifying new client needs, attending presentations and contributing to strategic planning.

Qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:
  • Licensed Architect in the state of Michigan.
  • 10 plus years of architectural experience, with a focus on K-12 and higher education facilities.
  • In-depth understanding of Michigan State Education Department procedures for public schools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
