JOB DESCRIPTION
ASRC Federal is looking for an experienced Data Architect - Senior to support their work with the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Data Architect will lead enterprise-scale data initiatives by collecting, engineering, and modeling data from multiple disparate sources to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making across ACC.
This role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data architectures, predictive modeling, data normalization, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The Data Architect will also be responsible for creating intelligent solutions that align with organizational goals, KPIs, and secure data governance standards, as well as supporting workforce training and continuous data literacy development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect, analyze, clean, normalize, and model large datasets from varied sources
  • Develop, test, and implement predictive models, AI/ML algorithms, and advanced statistical analyses
  • Design and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, data lakes, and data warehouses
  • Create enterprise strategies and data-driven solutions to support ACC operations and mission success
  • Design and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards including data labeling
  • Present data-driven results clearly and effectively to leadership and stakeholders
  • Develop and report metrics aligned to Government-defined KPIs
  • Design and build APIs to access data and systems
  • Facilitate and manage data storage, cataloging, and retrieval for accessible knowledge sharing
  • Promote cross-team collaboration through data transparency, tools, and structured documentation
  • Lead lessons-learned initiatives, apply industry best practices, and support process improvement
  • Conduct Command-wide training and awareness initiatives to promote data literacy and secure usage
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to support enterprise data advancement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Enterprise data architecture and governance
    • Building data pipelines and ETL processes
    • Data modeling and predictive analytics
    • Statistical tools, programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
    • Cloud-based and on-premises data platforms
  • Familiarity with designing and building APIs
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic data initiatives and support training across large organizations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in a data-related field
  • Experience with AI/ML platforms, data visualization tools, and DoD data environments
  • Familiarity with data cataloging tools and metadata management systems
  • Certifications in data engineering, architecture, or analytics (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, CDMP)
  • Experience implementing data classification and security frameworks in government environments
