THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD

The Architect shall provide facility engineering and operations support for the Uniforme

Services University Health Sciences campus


Responsibilities
  • Manage Master Plan development and oversight
  • Coordinate Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC)
  • Coordinate space utilization assessments
  • Support relocation planning activities
  • Facilitate meetings with end users and committees
  • Review planning submissions and ensure alignment with mission objectives
  • Prepare and present reports related to planning, FCA, and space utilization
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • Minimum five (5) years planning experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect
  • Master Planning experience
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess strong planning expertise
  • Possess strong coordination skills
  • Possess strong communication skills

Physical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

The employee will need to be able to perform facility inspections.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
