Position Overview

Aquila is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented OSP Designer with expertise in ArcGIS Pro to join our dynamic team. This is a primarily remote position but we are looking for candidates near Batesville, IN to facilitate occasional in-person training and fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and draft OSP fiber optic networks using ArcGIS Pro.
  • Generate as-builts from field data captured by construction personnel.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create detailed plans, layouts, and schematics.
  • Analyze and interpret field data to ensure accurate design implementation.
  • Support field activities as needed, ensuring seamless integration of designs into realworld applications.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and reports for projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro or similar GIS software is highly preferred.
  • Experience with OSP design and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Computer Assisted Design (CAD) experience.
  • AI familiarity and experience
  • Coding, software development, experience (Python, ArcPy, Arcade, SQL).
  • Database architecture and data analytics skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Discipline to produce and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (10% average) for training and field-related activities.
