Opportunity (Full-Time): Social Media Analyst – Arabic Language Enabled (Top Secret Clearance Required)
Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking an experienced Social Media Analyst with professional Arabic-language proficiency to support a SOCOM awarded contract with comprehensive, integrated analytical, operational, and informational support. The Social Media Analyst will contribute to this mission by monitoring and analyzing Arabic-language social media, regional press, online news, and other publicly available information to identify emerging narratives, trends, and key communicators and produce timely English-language analysis and reporting for senior decision-makers.
Location: Tampa, Florida
Level of Effort: Full-Time
Availability: Immediate
Objective: Provide continuous monitoring and analysis of Arabic-language media environments, with particular emphasis on social media, regional press, online news, and other publicly available information sources.
The analyst will maintain familiarity with relevant regional, political, cultural, and ideological issues and use Arabic-language knowledge to identify and assess narratives, trends, influential voices, audience reactions, and other developments within the online information environment.
The position requires the ability to translate complex Arabic-language discussions and media activity into clear, concise English-language analysis and reporting for U.S. Government stakeholders and senior leaders. The same translation requirements are there from English to Arabic.
Required Qualifications
  • Professional fluency in Arabic and English, including the ability to read and accurately interpret Arabic-language social media, news reporting, commentary, and online discussions.
  • Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience conducting social media monitoring, media analysis, open-source research, or information environment analysis with emphasis on Arabic media.
  • Minimum of 3/3 in Reading, Speaking, Listening, and Writing according to the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) rating system or other comparable systems.
  • Mastery of Arabic-language media environments and the cultural, political, and regional context necessary to accurately interpret online discussions.
  • Experience identifying and assessing narratives, trends, sentiment, key communicators, and emerging issues across social media and online information sources.
  • Ability to synthesize Arabic-language information and produce concise, professional English-language analytical products.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emerging regional or information-environment developments.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Current Department of War (DoW) TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
