TRANSLATION WORKFLOW SPECIALIST (2026-1210)

McLean, VA - Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees the entire translation workflow process from end to end. Tasks may include but not limited to:

  • Process requests for translation or other language support.
  • Facilitate flow of work to HLT specialist, linguists, and editors.
  • Track progress of requests and assignments, ensure deadlines are met.
  • Help define quality standards and workflow SOPs and ensure they are followed.
  • Help maintain translation memories and terminology.
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure work is distributed equitably and client specifications are met.
  • Deliver final products to requestors.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • Ability to pass an English grammar test.
  • Working proficiency in one of the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Kurdish, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian.
  • Ability to pass a translation test from the source language into English with a minimum of 2 on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Scale.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years or more of on-the-job experience in the specific HLT field)
  • Experience with a Translation Management System (TMS) such as XTM, WorldServer or Phrase TMS.
  • Organized and motivated self-starter with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
PREFERRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in translation or localization services, editing or customer service.
  • Experience with Computer Assisted Translation, Optical Character Recognition, Automatic Speech Recognition Post-Editing and related HLT tools.
  • Training and certification in project management or operations management.
