Internal Medicine-Pediatrics (IM-Peds) opening in TexasFull-TimeHouston, TXRole Overview* Provide comprehensive primary care to adolescents, adults, and elderly patients* Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions* Deliver preventive care, vaccinations, and health education* Provide prenatal care for uncomplicated OB patients* Refer patients to specialists when appropriate* Maintain accurate and timely medical documentationClinical Responsibilities* Conduct patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams* Order and interpret diagnostic tests* Prescribe medications in accordance with Texas regulations* Perform procedures within scope, including: * Injections and venipuncture * EKGs and screenings (visual, auditory) * Basic therapeutic procedures* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans* Educate patients on disease prevention, hygiene, and lifestyleAdditional Duties* Participate in: * Quality improvement and utilization reviews * Compliance and performance initiatives * Community outreach and health education programs* Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams* Rotate for on-call and Saturday coverage as needed* Support operations across multiple clinic sitesQualifications* MD or DO degree* Completed Family Medicine or IM-Peds residency* Board Certified (ABFM or AOBFM)* Valid Texas Medical License and DEA certification* Minimum 3+ years of experience preferred* Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and managed care systems* Strong ability to work with culturally diverse populations Language Requirements* Fluent in English (required)* Bilingual required (Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, or other languages) Practice Environment* Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting* Strong emphasis on: * Community health * Preventive care * Underserved populations* Team-based, mission-driven care modelCompensation* Salary: Based on experience *Key Highlights* Broad-scope primary care (including OB)* Community-focused mission with outreach opportunities* Diverse patient population* Strong emphasis on teamwork and quality improvement
