Job description

Temporary Ar Associate

Ashburn, VA

$33-34/hr

Addison Group's client is searching for a temporary AR associate for a 3-4-month project paying $33-34/hr. This role is on-site in Ashburn, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate and send invoices to customers in accordance with contract terms.
  • Process and apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, credit card) to customer accounts.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due accounts.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of collections efforts and customer correspondence.
  • Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close.
  • Prepare AR reports and support audit requests as needed.
  • Assist in process improvements to streamline billing and collections operations.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related role.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Proficiency in AR software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation and collections processes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of sales tax regulations and revenue recognition principles.
  • Familiarity with automated billing and AR management tools.
