We are looking to hire a Financial Analyst II to support the Hartford HealthCare system.
What You'll Do
As a Financial Analyst II, you'll be a vital part of our Finance team, Providing support to shape data-driven decisions across the organization. You'll work closely with operational and finance leaders, leveraging your analytical expertise to guide strategic initiatives and improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Financial Insights: Analyze revenue trends, identify key drivers of financial variance (month-to-month, quarter-to-quarter, year-over-year), and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support Decision-Making: Develop/Analyze reports for Monitor monthly revenue and AR, Month End .
  • Ensure Financial Integrity: Maintain and monitor month-end file submissions, reconcile subsystems with the general ledger, and ensure compliance with internal controls and deadlines.
  • Enhance Performance Visibility: Capture and report on KPIs, including payment trends, denials, and operational performance, using tools like Kodiak RCA to pinpoint areas of improvement.
  • Be a Go-To Resource: Provide data, reports, and financial expertise to internal stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor across departments.
  • Lead with Collaboration: Partner with teams across the system, lead or contribute to special projects, and bring innovative solutions to complex challenges.

What Sets You Apart
  • BA/BS degree Finance or Accounting preferred OR substituted by 10 + years' experience in analyzing in a health care background
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 General Ledger system a positive
  • Kodiak RCA Tool Experience
  • Knowledge of EPIC patient accounting system a positive
  • Proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, Pivots, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
