Job description

Job Title: Aquatics Supervisor
Department: Aquatics
Reports to: Aquatics Management
Aquatics Supervisors play a critical role in the daily operations of both Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark and Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark. Working closely with Aquatics Management, Supervisors help ensure the highest standards of safety, service, and team performance are consistently achieved in alignment with Ellis & Associates, Inc. and Camelback Resort standards.
Aquatics Supervisors lead from the front with a hands-on, team-oriented approach. They serve as a visible presence on deck, support associate development, reinforce safety and service expectations, and help create a guest experience that is safe, seamless, and memorable.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion Camelback's service culture by modeling and reinforcing the 4 Keys: Warmth, Personalization, Awareness, and Proactivity in all guest and team interactions
  • Lead and promote a strong safety culture by demonstrating and reinforcing a constant "think safe" mindset
  • Assist Aquatics Management in the training, supervision and coordination of lifeguards to ensure the protection of lives and safety of all guests
  • Conduct and participate in Vigilance Awareness Training (VAT) and ongoing in-service training in accordance with Ellis & Associates standards
  • Supervise lifeguards within assigned areas, enforcing park rules, regulatory compliance, and professional appearance and conduct
  • Follow and enforce all established park and associate policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  • Perform supervisory duties including conflict resolution, coaching and development, team engagement, and performance management
  • Assist with maintaining waterpark cleanliness, safety readiness, and overall operational excellence
  • Serve as a part of the Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation and respond effectively to operational and emergency situations
  • Support Aquatics Management with additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a large staff
  • Previous supervisory and/or aquatic experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products or ability to obtain
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective in emergency situations
  • Ability to perform all lifeguard duties and maintain the required physical condition
  • Knowledge of proper incident reporting procedures
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
  • Ellis & Associates Instructor License required or ability to obtain
  • Must be able to read and speak English; additional languages are a plus
