Their duties often include monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access to buildings, patrolling premises, and responding to security incidents. They play a critical role in protecting people, property, and sensitive information from potential threats. APS Security officers may work in government buildings, corporate offices, educational institutions, or healthcare facilities. They are typically trained in emergency response, conflict de-escalation, and relevant legal protocols.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an APS Security officer?

To thrive as an APS Security Officer, you need a solid understanding of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response, often supported by a security license or relevant certification.
