Rush Truck Centres of Canada is a part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. We represent a wide range of industry-leading truck and trailer brands backed by parts, sales, service, collision repair, lease and rental support. With 22 locations in Ontario and almost 600 employees and growing, we are looking for top talent to join our team.

We are looking for a Licensed or Apprentice Diesel Mechanics Level 3/Technicians for our Markham dealership located at 8240 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON L3R 2N8. This is a full-time permanent position.

Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs to all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
  • Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
  • Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
  • Document work performed.
  • Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices on trucks and make adjustments as needed.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
  • Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties may be assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T or 310S)
  • Good communication skills and work attitude
  • Quality Driven
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Driver's Abstract
  • AZ/DZ License is an asset
