The apprenticeship prepares individuals for certification and independent work as X Ray Technicians.

Is rad tech harder than rn?

Radiologic technologists (rad techs) and registered nurses (RNs) have different training and responsibilities; rad techs focus on imaging procedures and typically require certification in radiography, while RNs provide patient care and often hold a nursing degree and license. The difficulty depends on individual skills and interests, but both careers require rigorous education and practical training.

How much do 2 year rad techs make?

Apprentice X Ray Engineers or radiologic technologists often increase their earnings with additional certifications and skills in advanced imaging techniques.

Generally, MRI technologists tend to have higher average salaries than CT technologists due to the complexity of MRI procedures and equipment. Both roles require specialized training and certification, but MRI techs often earn more because of the advanced technology and longer exam times involved.

Can you do an apprenticeship in radiography?

Yes, apprenticeships in radiography are available for those interested in becoming X-ray engineers or radiographers. These programs typically combine on-the-job training with classroom learning and often lead to recognized qualifications in medical imaging or radiologic technology.
