Program Overview: The Richemont Movement Technician Training Program is an advanced course designed for dedicated employees who have successfully completed the Richemont Encasing Technician Course. This program aims to develop specialized skills in watch movement analysis, repair, and regulation, leading to the achievement of Movement Technician certification.
Eligibility Requirements: Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this program:
  • Successful completion of the Richemont Encasing Technician Course or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience working as an Encasing Technician at the RTC Workshop.
  • Must have Met or Exceeded Expectations for the last Fiscal Year
  • Consistently meets the Production and Quality Standards set in the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Program Curriculum & Learning Objectives:
Movement Analysis & Repair:
  • Analyze the condition of a movement and accurately identify issues.
  • Identify and execute the correct actions for movement repair and problem-solving.
  • Read and memorize technical documentation effectively.
  • Apply lubrication plans with appropriate quality and quantity.
  • Adjust barrel and gear train handshakes precisely.

Escapement and Regulation of Mechanical Movements:
  • Adjust escapement systems, including end-shakes, pallet fork, and guard pin.
  • Adjust balance and hairspring components, focusing on centering, flatness of hairspring, regulating pins, and anti-shock systems lubrication.
  • Perform dynamic poising.

Mastery of Stream+ Process:
  • Become proficient in the usage of torque screwdrivers, building upon existing mastery of regular screwdrivers.
  • Effectively utilize the Stream+ package, following established processes and using the correct tools.
  • Apply selected lubrication processes with high accuracy.
  • Achieve excellent quality standards within a reasonable timeframe.

Program Details:
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Start Date: Monday, September 14, 2026
  • End Date: Friday, March 1ith, 2027
  • Achievement Upon Completion: Movement Technician Certification
