If you’re an Army veteran looking for a role that values discipline, reliability, and hands-on work, Velocity Rail Solutions offers a mission you can stand behind. We’re hiring CDL Class A drivers with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements to support critical fuel operations at a dedicated rail facility in Herington, Kansas.

This isn’t OTR. You’ll be home daily, working with a tight-knit team, executing a clear mission, and getting the job done safely and efficiently—every shift.

THE MISSION

Support rail operations by safely fueling locomotives—keeping America’s supply chain moving. Your work is essential, steady, and respected.

PAY & SCHEDULE
  • $87,465+ annually
  • Home Daily
  • 12-hour shifts (you’re paid the full shift—guaranteed)
  • Consistent rotation: 60 / 60 / 48 hours (year-round stability)
  • Overtime after 40 hours
  • Paid weekly
  • Paid training
  • Multiple shifts available (must be ready for nights, weekends, holidays)
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Fuel locomotives using hoses and equipment (hands-on work)
  • Operate at a fixed rail yard — no long-haul driving
  • Load fuel from on-site storage tanks
  • Work outdoors in all conditions—just like the field
  • Handle documentation, inspections, and safety procedures
  • Respond to dispatch calls during your shift with urgency and accountability

90–95% of the job is outside the truck — this is active, mission-focused work.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ve already proven you can operate under pressure and take ownership. If you bring the following, we want to talk:

  • Class A CDL (Hazmat & Tanker required)
  • Clean driving record (no DUI, reckless driving, or Clearinghouse violations in 3 years)
  • Ability to pass a railroad background check & drug screen
  • Reliable, self-sufficient, and mission-ready
  • Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computer skills
