Job description

Lead Painter / Working Foreman

Location: Ambler Pa
Company: Militello Painting & Powerwashing

Build More Than Beautiful Paint Jobs.

We're a growing, established painting company generating over $5 million annually, specializing in residential and commercial painting. We are committed to growing our in-house painting division and are looking for an experienced Lead Painter to help us build that team.

This is a leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys mentoring others, and wants to help shape the future of our in-house production team.

What You'll Do

As our Lead Painter, you'll work alongside and lead our in-house painters while serving as the standard for quality, professionalism, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a small crew of in-house painters on residential and commercial projects
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
  • Train, mentor, and develop new painters
  • Help recruit and grow the in-house painting team
  • Coordinate daily job site activities with the Operations Manager
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, and team members
  • Inspect work for quality and address issues before project completion
  • Manage materials, equipment, and job site organization
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and team-first culture

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 5+ years of professional painting experience
  • Previous experience leading a crew or serving as a foreman
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial painting techniques
  • Experience with spraying, brushing, rolling, prep work, drywall repairs, and finishing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders and scaffolding

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience training apprentices or new painters
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • OSHA or safety certifications
  • Experience reading work orders or project scopes

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Consistent, year-round work
  • Professional equipment
  • Opportunities for advancement into Production Manager or Field Supervisor roles
  • A company that values quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Who You'll Work With

You'll report directly to the Operations Manager and play a key role in building and strengthening our in-house production team. We're looking for someone who wants to be a long-term leader—not just another painter.

If You're Someone Who...

  • Takes pride in doing things the right way
  • Leads by example instead of just giving orders
  • Enjoys teaching and helping others improve
  • Wants to help build something bigger than yourself

...we'd love to meet you.

Apply today and help us build the best painting team in the area.
