RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment; test drive vehicles to verify concerns and ensure proper repairs.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.  Complete online multi-point inspection report
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on a wide range of Fords as well as other Makes and Models.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisors and/or management so that customers are informed of any repairs or service that is needed.
  • Provide an estimate of time needed for initial and additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Complete all warranty documentation to factory standards, return warranty parts and cores per manufacturer.
  • Coach and mentor less proficient technicians and apprentices to further their automotive knowledge.  

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ford certified & experienced
  • Are a fast learner
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Are a team player
  • Are computer literate
  • Have a valid driver’s license

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous automatic and manual transmission repair experience at a Ford or medium-duty dealership
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
