Position Summary
We are looking for a Toolmaker to manufacture and repair tooling, or to perform major rebuilding of existing production tooling to engineering prints in accordance with developed standards and production requirements. Toolmakers also make job specific fixtures and gauges and are responsible for precision machining & grinding.
What You'll Do
  • Knowledge and experience with using all types of measuring tools (Micrometer, Caliper, toolmakers scope, etc.)
  • Knowledge of English & Metric systems of measurement
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and IATF 16949 quality systems
  • Competent written and verbal communication ability
  • Hand dexterity
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Work is specialized, which requires high degree of skill and close limits of accuracy & ingenuity.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Technical mathematics
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Thorough knowledge of tool and die manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Basic understanding of metallurgy involved with tool and die steels.
What You Bring
  • Graduation from high school or receipt of equivalent degree (GED)
  • Completion of 4 years of apprenticeship in Tool & Die making.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building stamping dies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in form grinding using various types of grinding equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using manual toolroom equipment.
