Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Traveling Flooring Apprentice to support large-scale commercial tile and flooring installations. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the commercial flooring industry, with clear opportunities for advancement into a supervisor position.

The apprentice will work alongside experienced crews, assist with jobsite operations, material handling, and installation support, while learning industry best practices and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with large commercial tile and flooring installations
  • Pick up, deliver, and stage materials for job sites
  • Safely operates equipment such as forklifts and LULL (telehandler) (training provided if needed)
  • Manage and maintain jobsite inventory, tools, and materials
  • Support repairs, punch list work, and final touch-ups
  • Move, stage, and organize materials to maintain efficient job site workflow
  • Assist with job site cleanliness and safety compliance
  • Travel to job sites as required and work flexible schedules based on project needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and floor plans
  • Previous experience in construction, flooring, tile, or commercial trades (preferred but not required)
  • Forklift or LULL experience (or willingness to be trained)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
