Job description

TNT Services has been in business since 1989 and is the largest pressure wash company providing service to light-duty and medium-duty fleet vehicles in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan. We are also the leader in Semi-Truck and Bus Body repair, reconditioning, and detailing. Over the past fifteen years, we have expanded our services outside of power wash to become the complete appearance specialist. Services include but are not limited to the commercial building, storefronts, flat surfaces, garages, and snow plowing, making TNT desirable to our customers and their needs.

We are an aggressively growing company that has doubled in size in the last three years. We have expanded our locations to Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Kentucky, Cleveland, and Michigan, as well as our corporate offices in Groveport, Ohio.

TNT Services immediately needs a Heavy Equipment and Small Engine Mechanic to help maintain our growing fleet inventory. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the Midwest, the need for a full-time mechanic is for our Sunday through Thursday shift (5:30 pm - 2:00 am, with some flexibility in the start time to start a little later; note that training will have a first-shift schedule, TBD) at our Groveport, Ohio, location.

The hourly rate will be based on level and experience.

Level 2- up to $27.00 per hour. The applicant understands small engines, both gas and diesel, but is stronger in one than the other. Can perform essential preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to take the next step.

Level 3- up to $30.00 per hour. The applicant has a good understanding and experience with both gas- and diesel-powered small engines. Demonstrates all skills needed as well as an advanced diesel tech classification.

All levels are required to:

  • Repair automobiles, heavy trucks, and other motor vehicles and nonmotor vehicles as needed
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
  • Perform quality inspections before returning to service
  • Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely
  • Complete required daily paperwork, document parts, and material usage
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Valid driver's license with less than 4 violation points that meets the company's insurance criteria
  • Own tools

The physical demands described here must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The technician must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this seat include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
