Job description

You will be the HyperLynx Analog Simulation Engineer for the Circuit Card Design Technology Council within Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC). Our council establishes the simulation standards, reusable model libraries and methodology that power every circuit card assembly (CCA) program across the MFC portfolio, ensuring mission critical hardware is designed with confidence and consistency.
What You Will Be Doing
As the HyperLynx Analog Simulation Engineer you will be responsible for leading SPICE based analog and mixed signal simulation work, authoring the department's modeling standards, and partnering with Siemens technical leadership to shape the future of the HyperLynx/Xpedition tool suite. Your work will directly impact hardware designs from concept through verification and will be leveraged by programs for years to come. Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing SPICE based analog and mixed signal simulations in Siemens HyperLynx Analog / Xpedition on power converters, sensor front ends, control loops, motor drives, BMS, communication interfaces and other mission critical circuits.
• Developing, validating and curating SPICE models-including vendor supplied encrypted models, MFC authored behavioral macromodels, package/parasitic models, and environmental/aging models.
• Defining and executing rigorous simulation methodologies (DC operating point, AC, transient, Monte Carlo, worst case, parametric sweeps, sensitivity, temperature/voltage corner, EMI/EMC pre compliance).
• Authoring MFC analog simulation standards, sign off criteria, model qualification protocols and design guide entries; publishing them through the CCD Reuse Hub.
• Supporting lab measurements and sim to bench correlation using oscilloscopes, signal generators, SMUs, precision DMMs, network analyzers and curve tracers to close the loop between model and silicon.
• Partnering with the PCB design team (EPCAD) to embed analog simulation results into layout constraints and power distribution network (PDN) designs.
• Mentoring mid career and apprentice engineers through the Talent Development apprenticeship pipeline; serving as the named analog simulation subject matter expert in design reviews from concept through verification.
• Representing MFC in Siemens Technical Review Meetings and external technical forums such as DesignCon, APEC and IEEE, influencing tool road maps to align with our strategic needs.
