Job description

Position Summary

Seminole Masonry, LLC is seeking a skilled Certified Welder to join our Florida operations. The Welder will perform welding and erection of precast products on projects across various worksites (This is NOT a shop position). This position requires frequent travel and a strong background in construction environments and erection.

Local candidates in Central Florida required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform Stick, MIG, and TIG welding on precast concrete.
  • Operate boom lifts and other construction equipment safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Conduct inspections of welds and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, crew members, and other departments to complete projects on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Current welding certification (required).
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction or industrial environments.
  • Experience in precast concrete or structural steel erection (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Stick, MIG, and TIG welding.
  • Ability to operate boom lifts and work at heights
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time based on project assignments.
  • Local candidates in Central Florida required.
  • No relocation assistance available.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Post-secondary training or technical certification in welding (preferred).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Regular exposure to outdoor construction sites, dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to lift or push up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
