Journeyman/Apprentice Plumber

Medina, OH

MIELKE Mechanical, Inc. is currently searching for a full-time Journeyman/Apprentice Plumber to join their team in Medina, Ohio!

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Full time  
  • 8-hour shift

The right candidate will have:

  • Ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
  • Preferred experience with brazing copper.
  • Ability to visualize objects in three dimensions and draw isometrics.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and applying plumbing codes, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of safety hazards and proper procedures.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Our Journeyman/Apprentice Plumber will:

  • Assemble, install, and repair piping systems for a variety of systems, including stormwater, sanitary, domestic water, medical fluids, acid waste, fuel oils, fuel gases, and heating water.
  • Install and repair fixtures and equipment related to stormwater removal, sanitary disposal, laboratory disposal, drinking water, medical waste disposal, heating, and more.
  • Read, understand, and apply plumbing codes, specifications, submittals, and blueprints.
  • Operate and maintain powered industrial equipment and hand tools.
  • Work with a wide range of piping systems and materials, including PVC, ABS, CPVC, Copper, Cast Iron, Steel, and Stainless.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Maintain professionalism while interacting with the public and/or customers.
  • Handle commercial and institutional projects.
