Vulnerability Management Remediator (Tanium Specialist)

Atlanta, GA - Onsite

Long Term Contract

Role Overview

Seeking a handson Vulnerability Management Remediator with strong expertise in Tanium Patch, Deploy, and Comply modules. This role focuses on enterprisescale patching, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint hardening across Windows and Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute OS and thirdparty application patching using Tanium.

  • Remediate vulnerabilities identified via Tanium, Tenable, Qualys, and Rapid7.

  • Create, test, and deploy patching policies and maintenance windows.

  • Validate patches and perform postdeployment verification.

  • Troubleshoot failed deployments and endpoint agent issues.

  • Apply system hardening aligned with CIS benchmarks and security standards.

  • Support urgent remediation for zeroday and critical vulnerabilities.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams on remediation efforts.

  • Document remediation activities and maintain audit compliance evidence.

  • Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline remediation.


Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years in vulnerability remediation or systems administration.

  • Strong handson experience with Tanium (Patch, Deploy, Comply, Interact, Asset).

  • Enterprise patch deployment experience across Windows/Linux.

  • Proficiency in OS administration and interpreting vulnerability scan results.

  • Familiarity with CVSS scoring and enterprise change management.

  • Troubleshooting skills for endpoint agents and patch failures.

  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Integration experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.

  • Knowledge of CIS benchmarks, security hardening, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCIDSS).

  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
