About the Position

Hamanaka Painting Co. is looking for reliable individuals interested in learning a skilled trade and building a long-term career in the painting and specialty coatings industry. Founded in 1993, Hamanaka Painting has proudly served the North Coast for over 33 years. We handle residential, commercial, industrial, and public works projects and are dedicated to developing skilled professionals within our team. Many of our employees stay with us long-term, with the average employee having been with the company for over 13 years.

This position provides the chance to work alongside experienced tradespeople while learning a variety of specialized coating applications.

Services include coating, epoxy and specialty floor coatings, concrete polishing and floor systems, parking lot striping and thermoplastic striping, seal coating, and high-access work using aerial lifts and equipment.

Training and Career Development

Through our partnership with ABC NorCal, employees may have the opportunity to participate in structured industry training programs that can lead to recognized apprentice and journeyman status in the painting and coatings trades.

Additional training options may include First Aid and CPR certification, aerial lift training, fall protection training, safety and jobsite training, EPA Lead-Safe Work Practices (RRP), and specialized coatings application training.

Compensation

Pay Range: $16 - $28 per hour, depending on experience.

Entry-level employees typically start near the lower end of the range with opportunities for advancement as skills improve. Employees may also have chances to work on public works projects that offer prevailing wage compensation.
